Totoro art

This was my painting for the Totoro Forest project. It was a worthy cause started by the famous Hayao Miyazaki(the director of Japanese Anime classics such as Kiki's Delivery Service, Totoro, to name a few) to save one of the oldest remaining forest in Tokyo, Japan. One of my co workers, Dice Tsutsumi helped lead the charge in getting 200 artists from all over the world to contribute to this cause. The paintings were auctioned off, and they were able to raise quite a bit of money for the cause.
My entry was that of my little daughter, Juni. She is my future, she is my totoro. Afterall, what are we doing on this earth, if we're not doing this for our children. Anyways, I was very honored to have been featured in the Totoro Forest Project book.
